Home phone and cellular services are currently down in the East Bethlehem and Centerville area, county emergency officials said.

The 377 and 632 exchanges are not working in parts of East Bethlehem Township, Centerville Borough, Richeyville, Fredericktown, Deemston and Denbo, according to Ron Sicchitano Jr., deputy director of the county’s Department of Public Safety. However, some people are still able to use their cell phones, Sicchitano said.

Windsteam is working to reconnect services, but Sicchitano is unsure when it will be fixed. Emergency dispatchers have been notified of the situation and local fire and police departments are on standby and conducting neighborhood patrols in case of a problem.
