A Robinson Township home undergoing renovations was destroyed by fire early this morning.

The residents of the house at 26 Taylor Road were staying at a neighbor's house when firefighters were called to the blaze at 3:18 a.m. today, Midway fire Lt. Bill Jordan said. They were not inside the house at the time due to the installation of new hardwood floors.

Firefighters from departments in Midway, McDonald, Mt. Pleasant and Slovan responded and had the fire under control in about 10 minutes, Jordan said.
