Hays helped W&J earn a share of the PAC regular-season championship this past week by leading the Presidents to victories over Grove City, 67-49, and Thiel, 83-79. She averaged 17.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game, while shooting 50 percent (15-for-30) from the field.

On Wednesday, Hays collected 12 points and five boards in the win over GCC. She then tallied career-highs of 22 points and 15 rebounds during the Presidents’ road victory at Thiel on Saturday.

• Waynesburg College senior guard Beau Wilson was selected as the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.

Wilson wins the award after leading the Yellow Jackets to two victories, including an 82-74 win over Saint Vincent. The four-year starter had a game-high 27 points versus the Bearcats, including 18 points in the second half.

The West Virginia native made 8 of 11 field against Saint Vincent, including six-of-nine from beyond the arc, with four steals. Earlier in the week, he helped Waynesburg to an 89-77 victory over Thomas More by scoring 22 points on 8-of-12 shooting with three rebounds and three steals.

Wilson averaged 24.5 points, 3.5 steals and 2.0 rebounds in the two games, while shooting 69.6 percent (16-of-23) from the floor, including 58.8 percent (10-of-17) from three-point territory.
