Waynesburg man killed, passenger hurt in motorcycle crash

A Waynesburg man was killed and his passenger seriously injured Wednesday night when his motorcycle hit a car on Route 21 at the intersection of Comfort Lane in Franklin Township, Greene County.
Christopher Lee Stallard, 21, was driving the motorcycle at 8 p.m. when it hit a car driven by 30-year-old Brian Scott Bennett, state police said. Stallard, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from the bike and hit his head off the car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A passenger on his motorcycle, Joseph William Yoders, of Waynesburg, was also thrown off. He was taken by helicopter to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va. Police are continuing their investigation.
