Two men pleaded guilty Monday to the brutal rape of an elderly South Strabane Township woman more than 10 years ago.

Frank Ivan Zitkovich III, 36, formerly of South Strabane Township, and Robert Marchetti, 42, formerly of North Fayette Township, admitted to raping the 64-year-old woman at her home on Glenn Street on Dec. 31, 1998, before Washington County Judge Paul Pozonsky.

Zitkovich was sentenced to 10 to 20 years in prison for rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, and criminal conspiracy to commit rape.

Marchetti pleaded guilty to the same charges but was sentenced to 7 1/2 to 20 years in prison.

Current rating:

The men’s sentences will run concurrent to sentences they are currently serving in prison.

Zitkovich is serving 8 to 16 years in SCI-Frackville for a previous rape conviction. He pleaded guilty in 2004 to raping a Washington woman in 2000.

Marchetti is serving a life sentence in SCI-Forest for murdering a man in Robinson Township, Allegheny County.
