Great : 8/6/2008
So, Tanger Outlets rushed to open while the economy is in a bit of a slump and gas prices are high and most people are not vacationing. I’m glad they used our tax money to help fund it. I think I’ll trade the $5.00+ in gas to drive there and back for online shipping and get a better deal overall.

Boom

I'm so thrilled!!!! NOT : 8/6/2008
YAY!! TRAFFIC!! OVER PRICED OUTLET CRAP FUNDED WITH MY TAX DOLLARS!

I love it : 8/6/2008
I love that the outlets are going to be opening. Those who don't have money or use it in an unwise way shouldn't whine! I hope the outlet mall does well and bring more tourists the South Strabane!

the guy below : 8/6/2008
the guy below is why this community sucks, all they do is complain when people try to do things to help generate the economy and move stores closed to our locations instead of driving 90 miles away, keep the mouths shut and things will improve.

Just what we need... : 8/6/2008
More stores in an area already overcrowded with homes no one can afford to buy and more traffic than the road systems can handle.

Used to like living in Wash County

nothing we can do about it now : 8/11/2008
I agree with everyone except the comment entitled "the guy below". i know what its like to live in Washington County, and our tax money could have gone to something that would make more sense. However we have no control over it, so we might as well try to make use of the outlets before Christmas shopping season is here and nonw of us want to sit in traffic on I-70. p.s. the comment about tourists coming to South Strabane is just retarded.

Meadows Casino Traffic, but a good thing. : 8/19/2008
I exit Race Track Road 5 days a week, working at the Meadows Casino. Traffic is usally steady, but some days it's just sick. With the opending of Tanger, it will be sooo bad the first few weeks, and I expect the slow lane before the exit on 79N (and south) to be a line of traffic, stopped, waiting for the red light wayyy down the exit to turn, which may let 5 cars thru because that light sucks! The Meadows Casino will open it's new facility in March it looks, which will be worse than now. They need to push for another entrance to the casino and Tanger. No matter what, traffic will be the issue for everyone. Fear this; Black Friday and Weekends. And if the Meadows has a FREE PLAY and maybe some type of GIVEAWAY too, forget about it. Make sure your car has gas to idle, stop for some before blowing all the money you don't have at the shops, or Casino.
