DAVID EDWARD GRIMES Washington Hospital School of Nursing student David Edward Grimes, 30, of Washington, died Friday, October 19, 2007, from injuries he received in an auto accident. He was born Saturday, October 8, 1977, in Charleroi, a son of Marlene Harhay Grimes of Uniontown and the late Ralph A. Grimes Sr. Mr. Grimes was a student in The Washington Hospital School of Nursing. Surviving, in addition to his mother, are a daughter, Anna Grimes of Washington; two stepdaughters, Corey Mitchell and Lenora Marchionda of Washington; a sister, Mary Ellen Smith of Carmichaels; three brothers, Ralph A. Grimes Jr. of Masontown and William D. Grimes and Gordon R. Grimes, both of Waynesburg; and several nieces and nephews. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family. He was born Saturday, March 28, 1931, in Coal Center, a son of John and Mary Timosh/Sopchak Jeney. Known as "Gramps," he showed his affection for family members and friends by tackling any project with them, whether it was building cabinets, vanities, bookshelves, gun racks or furniture of some sort. There are handcrafted reminders of him everywhere. Left to cherish his memory are his two sons, Mark Jeney and wife Nadine of California and Chris Jeney and fiancée Annette Wright of Clarksburg, W.Va.; two sisters, Ann Sabo of Detroit, Mich., and Irene Mariscotti and husband John of California; four grandchildren, Amanda, Zack, Abbie and Ali Jeney; and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his special friends, Mary and Stanley Rossell. Deceased, in addition to his parents, are his wife of 46 years, Dorothy Markovich, who died in August 1997; two brothers, John Jeney Jr. and Mike Jeney; a sister, Mary Melnik; and an adopted brother, Sam Hemrock. MILLER Member of First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ Jacqueline G. Miller, 71, of Finleyville, died Friday, October 19, 2007, in Donnell House, Washington. She was born October 6, 1936, in Wyano, a daughter of George T. and Edith M. Ohler Gregory. Mrs. Miller was a very active member in First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ in Monongahela. She was one of the first women elders of the church, a position she held for 20 years. At the time of her death, she was chairman of the worship committee and a choir member, and she had served for four years as the regional moderator for Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Pennsylvania. She was a former chairman of evangelism and membership committee and a former Sunday school teacher. In the early 1970s, she owned and operated Knits and Know How, a fabric shop in New Eagle. She was employed for 18 years at Columbia Gas Co. in Washington, first as an office operations training instructor and retired as an area accounting supervisor. Her life was encompassed by her family and her church, always graciously committing herself to assist and support others. She is survived by her husband, Hugh W. Miller, with whom she celebrated 46 years of marriage on May 20, 2007. Also surviving are a daughter, Patty Miller of Venetia; a son, Douglas Miller; a granddaughter Kylie Miller; a brother, George T. Gregory III of Park City, Utah; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased, in addition to her parents, are two sisters, Donna Gregory, who died in infancy, and Vivian A. McCulley. O'BOSKY Diesel Heating retiree, lifelong Canonsburg resident James E. O'Bosky, 73, of Canonsburg, died with his family at his side Saturday, October 20, 2007, in Humbert Lane Health Care Centre, Washington, of complications after a three-year battle with cancer. He was born December 6, 1933, in Canonsburg, a son of Joseph and Cecilia Pazdera O'Bosky. Mr. O'Bosky was a lifelong Canonsburg resident and a member of St. Patrick Church. Prior to retirement, he was employed by Diesel Heating as a sheet metal fabricator. He had served with the U.S. Army. Surviving are his wife, Ruth Kline O'Bosky; a son, James E. O'Bosky II of Cecil Township; and a granddaughter, Hannah O'Bosky. Deceased are two sisters, Catherine L. O'Bosky and Josephine O'Bosky. She was born August 2, 1935, in Carmichaels (Stringtown), a daughter of Hugh Sands and Sara Nicholson Sands. Surviving are her husband, Albert E. Ohler Sr.; a son, Albert E. Ohler Jr. (Terri) of Brunswick, Ohio; two grandchildren, Tracy Yahnert (Tom) and Brian Ohler (Cari); and three great-grandchildren, Ashley and Emma Yahnert and Madison Ohler. Deceased, in addition to her parents, are four sisters, Margaret Stallard, Shirley Bender, Erma Boothe and Patricia Doyle; and two brothers, Roger and Rodney Sands. Interment will be in Hewitt Cemetery, Rices Landing. *** JOHN J. URBANCIC JR. Master craftsman, woodworker was outdoorsman John J. Urbancic Jr., 90, of North Strabane Township, died Saturday, October 20, 200,7 in Washington Hospital. He was born August 7, 1917, in Courtney, a son of John J. Sr. and Mary Kmet Urbancic. Prior to retirement, he was employed by Kmet Tool and Manufacturing as a machinist. Mr. Urbancic taught women to weld during World War II. He was a master craftsman, an accomplished woodworker and a self-taught electrician and carpenter who built his own home. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, cutting grass and anything outdoors. Mr. Urbancic was an excellent dancer and enjoyed polka and waltz dancing. A member of St. Patrick Church, Canonsburg, he was a life member of KSKJ and member of Dormont-Mt. Lebanon Sportsman's Club. He was a former member of Canonsburg Sportsman's Club. Nothing made him happier than visits from his family. On September 16, 1939, he married Mary Senkinc, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Marie Smith of Canonsburg, Carol Altman of Canonsburg and Joan Braunlin of Spring, Texas; two sisters, Caroline Massack of Houston and Jo Ann Mals of Washington; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Deceased are a daughter, Mary Urbancic; and three sisters, Agnes Mullins, Mary Soberl and Anna Urbancic. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday in Sollon Funeral Home Ltd., 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, J. David Sollon, supervisor. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 23, in St. Patrick Church, Canonsburg, with the Rev. John J. Batykefer officiating.
