James M. Capenos, 47, of Green Tree, died Friday, October 30, 2009, after a brief battle with cancer.

Mr. Capenos was an employee of Horizon Information Systems and was a member of Crossroads Church in Oakdale, where he was very involved in the sound for the church.

He was the loving father of Eric J. and Nick, both of Washington; stepfather of Stephanie Williams; son of Mary R. and the late Jack M.; and brother of Mark (Cindy) of West Newton and Paul of Green Tree. Also surviving are nephews and a niece, Shawn, Jason and Kristin.

Friends will be received from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in William Slater III Funeral Service, 1650 Greentree Road, Scott Township. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 4, in Crossroads Church, 1000 Crossroads Drive, Oakdale, PA 15071. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205. www.slaterfuneral.com.
