Sylvia Prigg Hagerty

Member of Church of the Covenant

Sylvia Prigg Hagerty, 94, of Washington, died at 12:30 a.m. Friday, November 6, 2009, in Donnell House, Washington.

She was born July 13, 1915, in Washington, a daughter of Harry C. and C. Elizabeth Mounts Prigg.

Mrs. Hagerty was employed as a clerk for Woolworth's for 17 years, until her retirement in 1977.

She was a graduate of Trinity High School.

Mrs. Hagerty was a member of Church of the Covenant.

On October 1, 1936, she married Frank Gale Hagerty, who died in 1993.

Surviving are two daughters, Lois Willoughby of North Carolina and Susan (Michael) Caro of New York; a brother, James Prigg of Washington; a sister, Grace Prigg of Washington; a son-in-law, Dale Calvert of Washington; two grandsons, Mark Willoughby and Seth Caro; three granddaughters, Kimberly Calvert, Jody Wooten and Janis Crawford; a great-grandson, Trevor Willoughby; and a great-granddaughter, Beth Willoughby.

Deceased are a son, Frank C. Hagerty; a daughter, Betty Calvert; a brother, LeRoy Prigg; three sisters, Maudeline McQuay, Helen Danley and Mary Lou Auld; and a granddaughter, Jean Willoughby.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation. Services and burial will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of Warco-Falvo Funeral Home Inc., Wilson at East Katherine avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S.
