Olga Pikulin Chicarella
Olga Pikulin Chicarella, 90, of Canonsburg, died Wednesday, July 1, 2009, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.
She was born Monday, August 19, 1918, in Canonsburg, a daughter of Nicholas and Matrona Havrilnovina Pikulin.
On October 1, 1939, she married Harry Chicarella, who died October 23, 2008.
Mrs. Chicarella was a member of First Baptist Church of Canonsburg.
She enjoyed reading the Bible, daily praying, sewing, baking and cooking.
Surviving are two daughters, Marie Kisner (Joe) and Joyce Dano (Bill), both of Canonsburg; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Chicarella of McKees Rocks; a sister, Katherine Rapinchuk of Chicago, Ill.; three grandchildren, Joseph Kisner (Lori), Tracy Higgins and Jimmy Chicarella; six great-grandchildren, Joseph Kisner Jr., Jacob Kisner, Melissa Heise, Elexis (Joe) DeLuca, Michael (Megan) DeLuca and Billy Dano (Heather); four great-great-grandchildren, Jordan, Mathia, Athena and Madilyn; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a son, Harry James Chicarella, and a brother, John Pikulin.
There will be no viewing. Family and friends are invited to memorial services at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, in First Baptist Church, 215 North Central Avenue, Canonsburg, with the Rev. David Wringlesworth officiating. Interment will be in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township.
