Frederick William Hernandez

Frederick William Hernandez, 64, of Canonsburg, died Tuesday, June 30, 2009, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.
He was born February 4, 1945, in New York, N.Y., a son of Fernando Hernandez Rodriguez and Silvia Maria Santori Hernandez.
Mr. Hernandez was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Canonsburg and the New York State Sheriff's Association.
He was a graduate of Gardner-Hayes and the Academy of Aeronautics, both in New York.
Mr. Hernandez was employed as an engineering tech for IBM at several locations across the United States and Puerto Rico, with his final position being in Pittsburgh.
He enjoyed movies, reading, cooking, putting models together, fixing things, and watching Star Trek and all forms of science fiction.
On February 9, 1980, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, he married Milady M. De Los Angeles, who survives.
Also surviving are four sons, Brian Edward Hernandez and Michael David Hernandez, both of Puerto Rico, and Frederick K. Hernandez and Andrew Phillip Hernandez, both of Canonsburg; a daughter, Marianne Denise Hernandez of Puerto Rico; and two grandchildren.
A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, July 6, in St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Canonsburg. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to American Heart Association, 5455 North High Street, Columbus, OH 43214. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mario L. DeAngelo Funeral Home, Canonsburg.
