Harriette E. Lehew
Harriette E. Lehew, 95, of Washington, died Thursday, July 2, 2009, in Kade Nursing Home, Canton Township.
She was born August 22, 1913, in Perryopolis, a daughter of Leroy and Elizabeth McMillen Morris.
Mrs. Lehew was a member of Keystone Baptist Temple in Washington.
She enjoyed cooking and crocheting.
On November 30, 1938, in Perryopolis, she married George P. Lehew, who died April 8, 1983.
Surviving are a son, George Duane (Beverly) Lehew of St. Cloud, Fla.; a daughter, Donna Mae Fortunato of Canonsburg; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Deceased are three brothers, Edgar, Dane and Harold Morris, and a sister, Gladys Hawn.
Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday in Hummell and Barnhill Funeral Home Inc., 420 Locust Avenue, Washington, Thomas W. Hummell, supervisor, Douglas M. Jones, director, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 6. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Hospice Care of the Washington Hospital or Alzheimer's Association.
