Description: Civil Rights activists, who experienced the racial turmoil following the 1968 assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. firsthand, will discuss the Civil Rights Movement in Pittsburgh and how the events of the 1960s shaped and impacted race relations in the city.
The panel discussion will include former executive director of the NAACP in the 1960s, Alma Speed Fox, and activists Ralph Proctor and Sala Udin, who will relay their experiences during one of the most turbulent times in our city’s history.
