Description: The public is invited to a bereavement program, Mourning Our Losses Across the Life Cycle: An Emotional and Spiritual Journey, with Dr. Lillian Meyers. The program will be held Sunday April 14, at St. Alphonsus Parish, 219 West Lincoln Ave., McDonald, PA 15057, in the church social hall beneath the church from 2-4 p.m. Parking is available. There is no cost to attend but registration is requested by calling Mimi Darragh 412-445-7102.

Dr. Meyers is retired from Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic where she founded and directed The Grief Training Institute. She is a licensed clinical psychologist, a certified grief counselor and a bereaved mother. Dr. Meyers a member of and serves as the program chair of Compassionate Friends, Pittsburgh chapter. The Compassionate Friends is a support/self help group for parents, grandparents and siblings who are grieving the death of a child of any age or cause. Dr. Meyers is also the author of the book I’m Sorry For Your Loss…Hope and Guidance in Managing Your Grief which will be available for purchase.
