2013 Wounded Warrior Country Classic

Publish Date: Apr 18, 2013
Event Date: May 29, 2013
Event Time:
Description: On Saturday June 8, Dogwood Hills Golf Course and local citizenry will host the Second Annual
Wounded Warrior Country Classic to benefit programs providing assistance to injured service
members involved in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.

Last year, there were 132 golfers and we donated more than $13,000 in support of our wounded warriors. This year, the WWCC target is 150 golfers and warrior support of $15,000.

Cost per golfer is $65, which includes green fees, golf cart, and luncheon. The Classic format will be a four-person scramble, and teams will be handicapped using the Callaway System. Shotgun tee times will be 8:00am and 2:00pm, with lunch served between 11:30am and 1:30pm. Prizes for winning teams will be awarded day of tournament. Winners will have their names inscribed on a perpetual trophy plaque in the clubhouse.

The tournament is sponsored by General and Mrs. William J. Ely, US Army, Retired, and their family; and are once again honored to dedicate this tournament to the many honorable men and women serving our country.
