Description: Join nationally renowned culinary historian Michael W. Twitty for an in-depth presentation on how African American slaves utilized certain crops, tools, and materials to provide for themselves and their families. The program includes roundtrip transportation from the Heinz History Center in the Strip District to Meadowcroft, a boxed lunch, and admission. Visitors may also choose to drive to Meadowcroft separately. Space on the bus is limited, so advance registration is required ($25 for regular visitors and $10 for History Center members).
