James Macek and Alexandra Surunis have received the 2012 American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association Chapter 156 of Canonsburg four-year scholarship. Macek, a graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School, attends St. Vincent University, where he is pursuing a degree in physical therapy. His parents are Matt and Nina Macek of Houston. Surunis, a graduate of Bethel Park High School, intends to pursue a degree in early childhood development and psychology at the University of Pittsburgh. Her parents are Michael and Heidi Surunis of Bethel Park.
Daniel Moschetta of Washington was named to the dean’s list and honor roll and earned Certificates of Merit in advanced writing and workers compensation at the Thomas M. Cooley Law School, Lansing, Mich. He is ranked second in his law school class. Moschetta is a graduate of John Carroll University and Trinity High School. His parents are C. Jerome Moschetta and Elizabeth D. Moschetta.
