Attack ad-free TV

  • November 6, 2012

The preponderance of political ads on television has taken a heavy toll of the Pittsburgh area’s viewing audience. Two months ago, viewers were already weary from the constant repetition of these ads. It has been forcing many viewers to go for the mute button on their remote control, resort to yelling at the images on their screen or to turn off their sets in anger and frustration.

There is an alternative, however. The local Public Broadcasting System station offers plenty of good programming and is completely free of political ads. Those unfamiliar with the channel out to give it a try. It may become a habit that’s hard to break.
