O-R launches new website

  • November 15, 2012

Welcome to the newly redesigned Observer-Reporter website!

After months of planning and development, we present an updated online version of your hometown newspaper. We will continue to deliver the latest news, and much more. The new user-friendly site features more local photos, more local stories and more local videos.

Plus, readers again have the opportunity to post comments to stories after registering. Registering is easy and can be done one of two ways: via Facebook or by providing your email address. Just click on the word “Register” at the top of the home page and fill in the requested information. That’s it!

Our new home page is designed to give readers a quick snapshot of the day’s top headlines in news, sports and opinion sections. And be sure to check out “Spotlight,” where we will showcase one of the website’s daily photo or news highlights.

Among other new features is a multimedia page where we share our staff’s photos as well as those submitted by readers for the popular “Take Us Along” and “Hot Shot” series.

Our sports section has expanded, as well, with pages dedicated to high school, college and professional sports, as well as one containing exclusively Steelers news.

So come on in, look around, and reacquaint yourself with a more reader-friendly Observer-Reporter.com. Check back often, as we continue to refresh throughout the day.

And thanks for reading!
