Several people recently appeared in Washington County Court on criminal charges.
Appearing before Judge Janet Moschetta Bell were:
Donald R. Cameron, 49, of 155 Timberline Drive, Washington; second driving-under-the-influence offense; charged following a traffic stop May 19 at Moore Road and Mounts Road in North Franklin Township; his blood-alcohol content was 0.104 percent; sentence – SCRAM-X for 21 days to 6 months, $300 fine, 12-month driver’s license suspension, 12-month ignition interlock.
Jon T. Netzel, 50, of 315 Elm St., Washington; second DUI offense; charged following a traffic stop April 6 at Exit 25 of Interstate 70 westbound in Somerset Township; his BAC was 0.153 percent; sentence – SCRAM-X for 60 days to 6 months, $750 fine, 12-month driver’s license suspension, 12-month ignition interlock.
Appearing before Judge John DiSalle was:
Jason L. Dixon, 38, of Bridgeport, W.Va.; possession of drug paraphernalia; charged after police responded Sept. 8, 2011, for a report of two people passed out in a vehicle in the parking lot of the Lone Pine One Stop in Amwell Township and discovered drug paraphernalia; sentence – 12 months of probation without verdict.
Appearing before Judge Gary Gilman was:
Brandon J. Pelesky, 30, of 516 Fannie St., McDonald; possession of drug paraphernalia; charged following a traffic stop March 31 at First Street and Highland Avenue in Canonsburg; sentence – 6 months of probation without verdict.
Numerous people recently were admitted to the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program for first-time offenders. If they successfully complete the program, they can petition the court to expunge their records.
Admitted by Gilman were:
Zakhary Abbott, 19, of 920 Oak St., Marianna, admitted for 6 months and ordered to complete 25 hours of community service for false reports. He was charged June 9 for falsely reporting to state police that his truck had been stolen from outside his residence.
Kylee L. Sapp, 24, of 39 Shannon Ave., Washington, admitted for 23 months and ordered to attend retail theft classes as well as pay $3,710 in restitution for theft by deception and access device fraud. She was charged for making fraudulent returns at her place of employment, the Tanger Outlets Old Navy in South Strabane Township, between July 10 and August 29.
Kyonia M. Jackson, 22, of 354 Barnickel St., Meadow Lands, admitted for 12 months for false reports. She was charged for falsely reporting an incident involving sexual assault to police July 1.
Daniel W. Webster, 22, of 144 Lincoln Ave., Bellevue, admitted for 12 months and ordered to attend anger management for resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. He was charged after struggling with officers Aug. 30 outside the KwikFill gas station in California Borough.
Andrew T. Sweitzer, 37, of 1508 Coraopolis Heights, Coraopolis, admitted for 6 months and ordered to attend classes for retail theft. He was charged for stealing merchandise June 30 from the Trinity Point Walmart in South Strabane Township.
Jeffrey R. Ferda, 21, of 110 Ellen Drive, Wellsburg, W.Va., admitted for 6 months and ordered to attend classes for retail theft. He was charged for stealing merchandise Aug. 17 from Kohl’s in South Strabane Township.
Admitted before DiSalle was:
Heidi K. Schmidt, 43, of 122 Scenery Hill Drive, Canonsburg, admitted for 12 months and ordered to complete 50 hours of community service for insurance fraud. She was charged for renewing an automobile insurance policy Dec. 25 without reporting that her daughter had been in a crash after it expired.
Numerous people were admitted by Moschetta Bell into the ARD program for 12 months for a first DUI offense.

Garrett Jr., 32, of 187 1/2 Maple Ave., Washington; John C. Ellis, 50, of 100 Arnold Ave., Houston; Kristen L. Flaherty, 40, of 3998 Millers Run Road, McDonald; Justine R. Chandler, 22, of 960 East Maiden St., Washington; Michael D. Billy Jr., 25, of 1524 Marion Ave., Monessen; Emily K. Dzik, 24, of 1932 Virginia Via, Washington; Richard L. Bennett, 38, of 105 Pleasantview Drive, New Alexandria.
