Greene County Conservation District will hold its regular meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the mezzanine conference room of the Fort Jackson Building.

A spaghetti dinner will be held to benefit Brad Szczyrbak of Waynesburg, who was injured in a welding accident several months ago and who faces large medical expenses that have left him and his family struggling financially. The dinner will be held at noon Nov. 18 at the fairgrounds. To make monetary donations or to purchase tickets, call Margaret Kiger at 724-627-6875. Tickets are $7.50 for adults and $4 for children.

The Throckmorton United Methodist Church in Eastview will hold a community dinner from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The menu will consist of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, candied yams, desserts and beverages. Take-outs are available. The meal is free with donations being accepted.

The second annual Great Giveaway will be held today from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the fellowship hall of the First Christian Church of Waynesburg. This giant garage sale has a twist: everything is free. The church will be giving away to the community items such as clothes, coats, shoes, toys, furniture and other typical garage sale items.
