Civil service employee was Vietnam veteran

Frank Anthony Kacvinsky Jr., 63, formerly of Canonsburg, died October 27, 2012. He lost his courageous battle with cancer in his home in Rainier, Wash., with loving friends by his side.

He was born June 28, 1949, a son of Viola Davies Kaikaka and the late Frank Kacvinsky.

Mr. Kacvinsky graduated high school in the state of California in 1967 and dedicated 38 years to a notable career in the civil service. He also served his country faithfully in the U.S. Army as a Vietnam War veteran stationed in Da Nang.

He will always be remembered for his unforgettable laughter and kindness.

Surviving are his mother, Viola Davies Kaikaka; a son, Frank (Jeanine) Navarro; sisters Elizabeth (Robert) Anderson and Carolyn Kaikaka; and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be directed to a cancer charity of choice.
