Kimberly Sprence and David Boyd were united in marriage July 20, 2012, in Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. George T. DeVille officiating the 3 p.m. ceremony.


The bride’s parents are Joseph and Pauline Sprence of Canonsburg. Her grandparents are the late Jacob and Anna Klamut and the late Steve Sprence and Margaret Kish.


The bridegroom’s parents are James Boyd of Pittsburgh and Cathren Boyd of Gibsonia. His grandparents are the late John T. and Kathleen Boyd and the late Bill and Virginia Wheeler.


The bride was given in marriage by her father.


Matron of honor was Leah Stockman of Canonsburg. Bridesmaid was Haixia Yang of Morgantown, W.Va.


Best man for his brother was John Boyd of Pittsburgh. Groomsman was Debtosh Chakrabarti of Moorestown, N.J.


A reception was held at Hilton Garden Inn at Southpointe.


The new Mrs. Boyd is a 1992 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School, a 1996 graduate of Waynesburg University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in English/secondary education; a 1998 graduate of University of Wroclaw, Poland, with an intensive study of Polish language and culture; a 2001 graduate of the University of Kansas, where she earned a master’s degree in Slavic languages and literatures; and a 2005 graduate of Waynesburg University, where she earned a bachelor of science degree in nursing. She is as a registered nurse at Washington Hospital.


Mr. Boyd is a 1990 graduate of Upper St. Clair High School and a 1995 graduate of Arizona State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He works for John T. Boyd Co., mining and geological consultants.


The newlyweds took a honeymoon trip to Sanibel Island, Fla., and make their home in Canonsburg.
