Bethany routs Waynesburg men
Peters Township graduate Nick Wilcox scored 16 points, pulled down seven rebounds, had two blocked shots and five steals to lead Bethany to a 92-67 victory over Waynesburg in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference opener for both teams.
Reece Mabery also scored 16 points and had three steals for the Bison, who led 36-28 at halftime and shot 51 percent from the field (39 of 77).
Brady Pacific scored 13 points and had three of Bethany’s 12 three-point field goals. James Barton also added 12 for Bethany (4-1).
Jason Probst had a double-double for Waynesburg (2-3), scoring 19 points and pulling down 12 rebounds. Thomas Ellis scored 12 points and grabbed six rebounds.
