MCKEES ROCKS (AP) — A Western Pennsylvania man has been jailed on attempted luring and other charges after police say a 15-year-old girl resisted his aggressive request to get in his vehicle, took down his license plate number, then followed him with her mother when they happened to see his vehicle the next day.

Online court records don’t list an attorney for 51-year-old David Andrews, of Beaver Falls.

Stowe Township police tell WPXI-TV that the man approached the girl before noon on Sunday as she was walking home and that he drove away when she rebuffed his requests and threatened to call police.

On Monday, the women followed the man to his job when they happened to see the license plate, and then contacted police.

Police Chief Matthew Preininger says “The girl’s mother did the right thing.”
