J.J. John Whipkey, 26, address unknown, was placed in the Washington County jail Monday on $20,000 straight bond for holding a 3-year-old girl in a room, placing a glove and paper towel over her mouth and sexually assaulting her, according to police reports.

Whipkey was arraigned for District Judge Robert Redlinger on charges of indecent assault and false imprisonment. A preliminary hearing will be held at 3 p.m. Dec. 18.
