Iona Carr Blake, 91, of Cameron, W.Va., formerly of Richhill Township, Ryerson, Greene County, died at 8:32 a.m. Sunday, December 9, 2012, in Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Glen Dale, W.Va.


She was born June 20, 1921, in Cameron, a daughter of the late Edwin and Icy Teagarden Carr.


Mrs. Blake had resided in Greene County for several years, prior to returning to the Cameron area in 2004.


She was a member of Crabapple Community Church in Wind Ridge.


On February 1, 1947, she married Beryl Harlan Blake, who died April 16, 1997.


Surviving are children Loretta Cunningham of Wind Ridge, Debra, wife of Donald Whitlatch of Holbrook, Nancy, wife of Danny Lemasters of Moundsville, W.Va., Donald, husband of Ruth Blake of Cameron, Gregory, husband of Rose Blake of Cameron, with whom she made her home since 1997, Alfred, husband of Debbie Blake of Waynesburg, Harold, husband of Mary Blake of Bentleyville, and Richard Blake of Moundsville, W.Va.; a sister, Relda Wright of Cameron; a brother, James Carr of Alabama; 30 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.


Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are a daughter, Rose Marie Blake; a grandson, Shane Leroy Blake; a granddaughter, Shanna Blake; a great-grandchild, Elizabeth Blake; two sisters, her twin sister Leona Carr and Mary Bumblewich; and a brother, Wesley Carr.


Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Rush Funeral Home Inc., Rogersville. Family and friends are asked to meet at Fairview Cemetery, Richhill Township, at 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 12, where graveside services will be conducted, with Pastor Dave McCombs officiating.
