Dominic J. Ciletti

Former Washington resident

Dominic J. Ciletti of Palm Springs, Calif., passed away November 22, 2012.


Mr. Ciletti was born July 15, 1948, in Washington, a son of the late Dominic J. and Jeanne Lobozzo Ciletti.


He graduated from Immaculate Conception High School, Washington, and Murray State College, Murray, Ky.


Surviving are many loving cousins.


A celebration of life was held December 6 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, West Hollywood, Calif.

Donald DeLisio

WWII veteran

Donald DeLisio, 81, of Bethel Park, died Sunday, December 9, 2012.


He was the loving husband for 60 years of Joan; beloved father of Nancy (Michael) Adamson; grandfather of Laurel Adamson; brother of Leonard, Lawrence, Carol Hill and the late Marge Benaquista, Florence Butkovic and Joseph. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.


Mr. DeLisio was a longtime Westinghouse employee, from where he retired.


He was a U.S. Army veteran during World War II.


Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Paul L. Henney Memorial Chapel, 5570 Library Road, Bethel Park. Josephine Domine

Avid gardener enjoyed puzzles

Josephine “Josie” Domine, 82, formerly of Houston and Canonsburg, passed away Sunday morning, December 9, 2012, in Washington County Health Center, Chartiers Township.


She was born September 4, 1930, in Muse, a daughter of the late John and Martha Dokmonovich Pivac.


Mrs. Domine lived most of her life in the Houston and Canonsburg areas, where she was a member of St. Michaels Byzantine Catholic Church.


She had been a manager at Washington County Public Housing.


Mrs. Domine was an avid gardener who enjoyed puzzles and reading books.


She was a member of the Croatian Fraternal Union.


On June 3, 1950, she married Theodore J. Domine Sr., who died June 30, 1999.


Surviving are her son, Theodore J. (Rebecca) Domine Jr. of Port Charlotte, Fla.; granddaughter Leah Morgan (John) Gluvna of Olmsted, Ohio; great-granddaughter Madison Bethany Gluvna; and numerous nieces and nephews.


Mrs. Domine was the last of her immediate family.


Deceased, in addition to her husband, are two brothers, Paul Pivac and Joseph Pivac, who died in infancy, and sister Mary Bissonnette.


At Mrs. Domine’s request, there will be a private family visitation at Salandra Funeral Service Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120. Friends are welcome to join the family for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 13, which will be celebrated in St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Canonsburg, with the Rev. Silvio Ferea Jr.

Enjoyed motorcycling and boating

Silvio “Butch” Ferea Jr., 59, of Fredericktown, died Saturday, December 8, 2012, in Mon Valley Hospital, after a brief battle with cancer.


He was born May 19, 1953, in Waynesburg, a son of Margaret Zappone Ferea of Fredericktown and the late Silvio “Ike” Ferea Sr.


Mr. Ferea was a 1972 graduate of Bethlehem Center High School.


A certified welder, Mr. Ferea had been employed for the past five years for Fenner and Dunlap of Allison.


He enjoyed motorcycling and boating.


Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife, Debra L. Bogumit Ferea of Fredericktown; stepson, Joey Bogumit of Fredericktown; two sisters, Kim Frischmann and husband Joe of San Diego, Calif., and Michelle Rafferty and husband Ted of Fredericktown; brother Bruce Ferea of Fredericktown; and several nieces and nephews.


Deceased, in addition to his father, is a brother, James Joseph Ferea.

Anna Belle Jones

Loved to cook and bake

Anna Belle Jones, 87, of Spraggs, died at 8 a.m. Sunday, December 9, 2012, in Golden Living Center, Morgantown, W.Va.


She was born Wednesday, October 21, 1925, in Shadyside, Ohio, a daughter of the late Patrick and Lucy Haught Stoneking.


Mrs. Jones was Methodist.


She was married to William F. Jones for 65 years, until his death in 2009. She and her late husband loved to travel across the United States and visited all the state capitals. Mrs. Jones enjoyed being a homemaker and helping her husband with woodworking.


She was one of the first women in the Spraggs area to drive a school bus, and often spoke about writing a book to chronicle her experiences over those 20 years of driving the bus. She also loved to cook and bake, especially for her grandson and great-grandchildren.


Surviving are son William T. and wife Joanna Sue Jones of Morgantown, W.Va.; grandson Eric and wife Siobhan Jones of North Wales; three great-grandchildren, Teresa, Michael and Victor Jones; brother Patrick Stoneking of Waynesburg; brother-in-law Thomas W. and wife Irene Jones of Spraggs; and several nieces and nephews.


Deceased are two sisters, Margaret Bland and Katherine Tennant.


Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the hour of service, Friday, December 14, in Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., Daryl L. John N. Retzloff

Pressman for Pittsburgh Press, Post-Gazette

John N. Retzloff, 72, of Cecil, died Monday, December 10, 2012, in his home, with his loving wife of 47 years at his side.


He was born May 9, 1940, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late John J. and Georgia R. Hook Retzloff.


Mr. Retzloff was a member of St. Mary Parish, Cecil, the Printing Pressman Local 9 and Elks Lodge and was a USNA (Navy) fan and supporter.


He worked as a pressman for both Pittsburgh Press and Pittsburgh Post-Gazette papers.


Surviving are his wife, whom he married June 26, 1965, Delores Sliacky Retzloff; two sons, Mark (Lisa) Retzloff and Dr. John E. Retzloff, both of Pensacola, Fla.; daughter Sherry (Kevin) Franks of Washington; brother David (Betty) Retzloff of Columbia, Mich.; two grandchildren, Rachel Gates and Evan Retzloff, both of Pensacola; and niece and goddaughter Lauren Rodriques-Retzloff.


He also leaves his golden retriever, Jackson.


Deceased, in addition to his parents, is son Brian “Bunya” Retzloff, who died in 2009.


Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, 3378 Millers Run Road (Route 50), Cecil, where prayers of transfer will be said at 9:30 a.m. Friday, December 14, followed by a Christian Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mary Church, Cecil, with Father Stan Gregorek officiating.

Margaret J. Rodgers

Bethel Park School District retiree

Margaret J. Rodgers, 85, of South Park, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2012, in Jefferson Hospital, surrounded by her family.


She was born September 24, 1927, in Mercer County, a daughter of the late Sylvester and Margaret Shannon Sowers.


On April 10, 1945, she married Raymond Edward Rodgers, who died September 29, 2006.


Surviving are her two loving sons, Patrick James Rodgers of Punta Gorda, Fla., and Timothy Michael (Barbara) Rodgers of Eighty Four; granddaughter Jennifer Lynn (Jeffrey) Sasek of Venetia; and three great-grandsons, Wyatt Michael, Ethan Tyler and Travis Alexzander Sasek.


In addition to her parents and husband, deceased are brothers Sylvester and George and sister Betty.


She retired from Bethel Park School District after many years.


Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Inc., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 13, in the chapel. Magda Lena Ward Waters

Indiana resident

Magda Lena Ward Waters, 68, of Indiana, went home to be with the Lord Sunday December 9, 2012, in her home.


She was born April 1, 1944, in Washington, a daughter of Albert and Kizzy Dansby Ward.


Ms. Waters was a missionary of Faith Temple Church of God in Christ, Indiana.


She worked at Indiana County Headstart. She also worked as a licensed practical nurse for many years.


Ms. Waters volunteered at Beacon Ridge Manor and Indian Haven nursing home, where she lead in singing praises to God and ministered to the residence.


Surviving are children Rodney Ward and wife Felicia of Columbia, Md., Ira Ward Redd and husband Kip of Indiana and Donald Ward of Johnstown; grandchildren Corey Anderson of Washington, Whitney Ward of Atlanta, Ga., Courtney, Cameron and Tiffney Ward, all of Columbia, Lindonna Ward, Janiesha Mckenzie and Donovan Ward, all of Seattle, Wash., and Tyanna Redd of Indiana; great-grandchildren Michael and Maleigh Mckenzie of Seattle; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.


Deceased are her parents, sister Willa Williamson and brother Joseph Ward.


Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, Indiana. Going home services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 13 at Faith Temple Church of God in Christ, Indiana, with the Elder Stanford Webb Jr. officiating.
