Anthony Cecchine, 73, of Washington, formerly of Marianna, died Thursday, December 13, 2012, in his home.
He was born October 27, 1939, a son of the late Fred and Clara Cecchine.
Mr. Cecchine served in the National Guard and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 927 and American Legion Post 744 in Marianna.
He enjoyed playing guitar and singing.
Mr. Cecchine worked for 25 years at Beth Energy Mine 58, where he was a foreman for 20 years.
On October 28, 1988, he married Alice Bailey, who survives.
Also surviving are three children, Anthony Cecchine of Chicago, Ill., Kathy (Ray) Bogumit of Fredericktown and Leigh Ann Cecchine of Washington; four stepchildren, Debbie (Paul) Zidermanis of San Antonio, Texas, and Robin (Kenneth) Huffman, James (Brenda) Pattison and Keith (Heather) Pattison, all of Washington; five brothers, John (Laureen) Cecchine and Fred (Jean) Cecchine, both of Marianna, Jim (Marge) Cecchine of Belton, Texas, Bob (Pat) Cecchine of Olmstead Falls, Ohio, and Frank Cecchine of Eighty Four; grandchildren Brittany and Zachary Bogumit, Jennifer Huffman, Brian and Brandon Clark, Nicole Barr, Katelyn Pattison, AJ Pattison, Amber Gallo, Payden and Caitlyn Brown, Anthony Pieron and Shonia Cecchine; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a stepson, Kevin Pattison and a grandson, Derek Huffman.

Paul L. Fidel
Committed to family and faith
Paul L. Fidel, 84, of McMurray, died unexpectedly Monday, December 10, 2012.
He was the beloved husband of 64 years to Pauline Micklege; father of Paul (Mairi) and Paula (Paul) Aitken; grandfather of Clinton and Madelyn Fidel and Paulena and Paula Paige Aitken; and brother of the late William, John, Edward Fidel and Sally Grable.
Mr. Fidel was committed to his family, his faith and served as a caregiver to several members of the family.

Andrew R. McGeever Sr.
Pilot for Conoco Aviation, WWII Army veteran
Andrew R. McGeever Sr., 86, of Pleasant Hills, died Saturday, December 8, 2012.
He was husband of the late Jeanne Alton McGeever; beloved father of Andrew R. (Sandy) McGeever Jr. and the late Lorri Anne McGeever; loving grandfather of Codie Leigh and Carly Ann McGeever; and brother of Janet Sanford and the late Norma Tempinski.
Mr. McGeever was chief pilot for Conoco Aviation at the Allegheny County Airport.
He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of Quiet Birdmen, OX5 aviation and the Mon Valley Boat Club.
Mr. McGeever enjoyed flying, boating, playing golf and photography.
Family and friends will be received from 11 to 11:30 a.m., the time of memorial service, Saturday, December 15, in Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills. Member of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church
Jennie Valencic, 88, of Meadow Lands, passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2012, in Donnell House, Washington.
She was born December 27, 1923, in Meadow Lands, a daughter of the late John and Jennie Cvetnic Valencic.
Miss Valencic lived her entire life in Meadow Lands, where she was a member of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church and the Christian Mothers and Guild.
She had been employed as an inspector at RCA plants, in both Canonsburg and Meadow Lands, prior to her retirement.
Miss Valencic was a graduate of Chartiers High School.
She wrote and spoke fluent Slovenian and was very proud of her heritage. She visited Slovenia in 1974. She enjoyed her nephew’s accordion playing, many bus trips and picnics with her family and friends.
Surviving are a brother, Frank (Marjorie) Valencic of Strabane and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, are two brothers, John Valencic Jr., and his twin brother, who died in infancy; two sisters, Mary Lucas and Frances Wozniak; and a nephew, Joe Lucas.

Salandra, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, where departing prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, December 15, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, Meadow Lands, with the Rev.
