Hildegard L. Wenz Amuso, 89, of Peters Township, died Tuesday, December 18, 2012.
She was the beloved wife of the late John; loving mother of Janet L., Michael J. (Robin), Paul H. (Maureen) and Maria R. Amuso; grandmother of Matthew, Aaron (Courtney), Nicholas, Patrick, Bradley and Mary Clare Amuso; and sister of Ingeburg (late Alban) Mockenhaupt and Marguerite (Nevin) Rinaman.

Michael Robert Haughney
World War II veteran
Michael Robert Haughney, 86, of South Park, formerly of Cuddy, died Wednesday, December 19, 2012.
He was the husband of the late Rosella Atkinson Haughney and brother of the late Joseph, James and John Haughney, Isabel Baroni and Mary Roberts.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Haughney was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy.
He was a retired employee of Universal Cyclops in Bridgeville.
Mr. Haughney played in the country western band, Mike and the Bluegrass Rangers.

Robert M. Hopkins
Retired coal miner
Robert M. Hopkins, 78, of Scenery Hill, died Tuesday, December 18, 2012, in Washington Hospital.
He was born August 3, 1934, in Greene County, a son of the late William L. and Nellie Conklin Hopkins.
Mr. Hopkins was previously employed as an electrician and was a member of Electrical Construction Local 126. He later became a coal miner, working in the former Bethlehem Mines 60 in Eighty Four and Consol Energy. He retired in 1994, after 20 years of service as a coal miner.
He enjoyed horses and horseback riding, farming, hunting, motorcycling and coon hunting and was a member of Keystone Coon Hunters.
On February 24, 1962, he married Naomi J. Millikin Hopkins, who survives.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Randy M. Hopkins (Donna) of Scenery Hill; two daughters, Pamela J. Lindley (Jim) of Scenery Hill and Tracey L. Belmont (Matt) of Fredericktown; eight grandchildren, Brandy and Haley Hopkins, Leah, J.R. and Nora Lindley and Colton, Shane and Hannah Belmont; three brothers, William S. Hopkins (Mary) of Waynesburg, John C. Hopkins (Charlotte) of East Earl and David L. Hopkins of Waynesburg; two sisters, Lillian Ulrich of Waynesburg and Hazel Hadrich of The Colony, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are two brothers, Dennis M. Hopkins and Wallace Hopkins, who died in infancy, and three sisters, Aldine Sanders, Evalina Malgram and Eleanor Saggis.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 22. Cherished her animals, enjoyed bingo
Cynthia L. Miller Hunt, 58, of Washington, passed away peacefully Friday, December 14, 2012, with her family by her side.
She was born August 1, 1954, in Washington, a beloved daughter of Marilyn Miller of Washington and the late Bob Miller; loving mother of Daryl Zimmermann and fiancee Stephanie Nash of Brownsville; and sister of Terry (Rene Saut), Candy (Bill) Ingersoll and the late Bobby Miller.
She dearly loved her grandmother and grandfather Loughman. She also cherished her animals and enjoyed playing bingo.

Donna Jean Scherich, 65, of Wind Ridge, died unexpectedly Wednesday, December 19, 2012, in her home.

Sharon L. Leonard Wallo
Enjoyed camping and crafts
Sharon L. Leonard Wallo, 64, of Ellsworth, died Sunday, December 16, 2012, in Mon Valley Hospital.
She was born December 13, 1948, in New Eagle, a daughter of the late John J. Sr. and Evelyn M. Patterson Leonard.
Mrs. Wallo was a 1967 graduate of Bentworth High School.
She was a member of the Alpine Club, where she bowled with the Wheels Bowling League.
Mrs. Wallo loved her dog, Hobie, and her cat, Runt. She enjoyed camping, crafts and crocheting.
On July 6, 1968, she married John “J.P.” Wallo, who survives.
Also surviving are a sister, Eileen Boothe and husband Robert of Ellsworth; a brother, John J. “Jack” Leonard Jr. and wife Arlene of Roaring Spring; a niece, Dawn Sape of Richeyville; a nephew, Robert Boothe of Fredericktown; and several great-nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 21, in Grace United Methodist Church, Coal Center, with Pastor Randy Landman officiating. Interment is private.
