Enjoyed time spent with family

Donna Jean Scherich, 65, of Wind Ridge, died unexpectedly at 9:12 a.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2012, in her home.

She was born May 30, 1947, in Newark, Ohio, a daughter of the late Frank Dugan and Cecilia Elizabeth Casler Inman.

Mrs. Scherich had resided in the Richhill Township area, Greene County, most of her life.

She was a member of the former South Wheeling Baptist Church in Ryerson.

Mrs. Scherich was a 1965 graduate of West Greene High School and was a member of Graysville American Legion Post 416 Auxiliary.

She was a former secretary with the Department of U.S. Navy in Washington, D.C. She was employed by West Greene School District as the head cook at Graysville Elementary School, for approximately 16 years, prior to retiring in 2000.

Mrs. Scherich enjoyed the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

On May 27, 1967, she married Rodney Eugene Scherich, who survives.

Also surviving are four daughters, Lorri, wife of Eric Amos of Wind Ridge, Lisa Scherich of Chester, Tina, wife of Timothy Parson of Graysville, and Carla, wife of James Patterson of Waynesburg; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Baird, Dakota and Mahala Marshall, Rodney, Aaron and Celia Parson and Barrett Patterson; two brothers, Donald, husband of Yaeko Inman of Benbrook, Texas, and James, husband of Debbie Inman of Graysville; four sisters, Shirley Wehrs of St. Louisville, Ohio, Rosemary Wood of Buckeye Lake, Ohio, Betty Rutan, wife of Floyd Rutan Jr. of Waynesburg, and Sue, wife of Ronald Geho of New Martinsville, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to her parents, is a sister, Mary Lou Inman, who died in infancy.

Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday in Rush Funeral Home Inc., Rogersville, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, December 23, with Pastor Nelson Boone officiating. Interment will follow in Braddock Cemetery, Gray Township.
