Robert W. Hildebrand
He was born March 9, 1943, in Canonsburg, a son of Harry and Virginia Marshall Hilderbrand.
Mr. Hildebrand was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served with the U.S. Army in Korea.
He worked for Dravo Corp. on Neville Island and Washington Steel and Allegheny Ludlum at the Houston plant.
Mr. Hildebrand was a graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School.
He was a member of Chartiers Lodge 297 F&AM, Canonsburg.
Mr. Hildebrand was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Surviving are a daughter, Terri Fonner (John) of Washington; a son, Robert W. Hildebrand II (Michele) of Cape Coral, Fla.; three grandchildren, Mason and Madison Fonner and Sophia Hildebrand; three brothers, Harry Hilderbrand (Faith) of Canonsburg, Michael Hilderbrand (Linda) of Washington and Glenn Hilderbrand of Strabane; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a brother, Richard Hilderbrand, and a sister, Shirley Lyons.
Friends will be received from 1 to 3 p.m., the time of service, Saturday, December 29, in McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, with the Rev. Michael Roach officiating. Interment will be private.
