Christine Warco and J.R. Battista were united in marriage November 24, 2012, in West Liberty University Chapel, with the Rev. Harry Myers officiating the 2:30 p.m. ceremony.
The bride’s parents are Curt and Sharon Shepherd of Burgettstown. Her grandparents are Betty Shanor of Washington, Elmer Shepherd of Washington, the late Anna Shepherd, the late Walter and Hazel Warco and the late Harold and Loretta Shanor.
Parents of the bridegroom are Robert and Anna Battista of Wheeling, W.Va.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Maid of honor was Melissa Neubauer of Bellaire, Ohio. Bridesmaids were Christina Maltony of Burgettstown, Carla Kalnicky of Canonsburg and Jenn Powell of Weirton W.Va. Flower girl was Jeana Battista, daughter of the groom.
Best man was Kevin Higgins of North Canton, Ohio.
Ushers were Rich Ginosky of Burgettstown, Jason Kalnicky of Canonsburg and Greg Neubaugher of Bellaire, Ohio. Ring bearer was Cooper Kolb, nephew of the groom.
A reception was held at Wheeling Artisan Center, River City Banquet Hall.
The bride is a graduate of Burgettstown High School and West Liberty University, where she earned a bachelor of science in English education and a master’s degree in technology.
The groom is a graduate of West Liberty University, where he earned a bachelor of science in education, and West Virginia University, where he earned a master’s degree in special education.
