Hunter Bigler was named to the dean’s list with a 4.0 grade-point average at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he is majoring in physical education and sport exercise science. He is a member of the baseball team. Bigler is a 2012 Trinity High School graduate, and his parents are Randy and Elaine Bigler of Washington.
Dennis (Denny) Grabiak Jr. was awarded the Joe and Eleonora Bubba Scholarship for Physics and Engineering degree program at Edinboro University, where he is majoring in physics and engineering. Grabiak is the Math Club events coordinator. He is a 2011 graduate of Trinity High School, and his parents are Angela Grabiak and Dennis Grabiak, both of Washington.
Alexander Lee was named to the dean’s list at the Eastman School of Music, where he is majoring in violin performance. He is the baroque violinist at Christ Episcopal Church in Rochester, N.Y. Lee graduated in 2009 from Trinity High School, and his parents are Kevin and Alice Lee of Washington.
Eleanor Lee, daughter of Kevin and Alice Lee of Washington, was named to the dean’s list at the Eastman School of Music, where she is majoring in cello performance. Lee graduated from Trinity High School in 2011.
Mackenzie McElhaney was named to the dean’s list with a 4.0 grade-point average at Slippery Rock University, where she is majoring in exercise science/physical therapy. She is a 2012 graduate of McGuffey High School, and her parents are Jim and Sally McElhaney of Washington.
Karlie Shriver, daughter of Boz and HP Shriver of Avella, was named to the dean’s list at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she is majoring in health and physical education. Shriver achieved a 4.0 grade-point average for the second consecutive semester. She is secretary of the Health & Physical Education Club and a member of Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society. Shriver is a 2011 graduate of McGuffey High School.
Myresa Troiano was named to the dean’s list at Penn State University, where she is majoring in speech pathology/communication disorders, with a minor in psychology. She is a tutor for middle school students through the Penn State Educational Partnership Program and an organizer for THON, the university’s annual dance fundraiser for pediatric cancer research. She is a 2011 graduate of Trinity High School, and her parents are Ralph and Dyane Troiano of Washington. She is employed by Southwest Training Services.
Ashley Wood, daughter of the late Jennifer Ham, was named to the dean’s list at Slippery Rock University, where she is majoring in criminology and psychology. She is secretary of the Psychology Club and a member of Psi Chi Psychology National Honor Society, Golden Key Honor Society, Rock Out and the dean’s advisory board. She is a peer tutor, an assistant research student with the department chairman and performs community service at the Drop-in Mental Health Clinic. She is a 2009 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School and is employed by Sheetz in Canonsburg. She resides with Jim and Nancy Bell of North Strabane Township.
