Tax assistance available in McMurray

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance will be available weekdays from 8:30 to 2 p.m. Feb. 4 through April 15 at the Bible Chapel, 300 Gallery Drive, McMurray.

Volunteers will assist taxpayers with federal, state and local returns, real estate/rent rebate and PACE applications. Bring W-2s, 1099s, totals of itemized deductions and Social Security cards for yourself, spouse and dependents. Also bring copies of 2011 federal and state tax returns, real estate tax receipts and receipts for large purchases such as cars.

For direct deposit of refund, have bank account and routing numbers. Bring proof of identification for self and spouse.

There are no appointments, only walk-ins. For more, call the IRS at 800-829-1040. Do not call the Bible Chapel regarding VITA.
