Battista – Warco
West Liberty University Chapel was the site for the wedding of Christine Warco and J.R. Battista, who were married at 2:30 p.m. November 24, 2012, with the Rev. Harry Myers officiating.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents, Curtis and Sharon Shepherd of Burgettstown. Her grandparents are Elmer Shepherd of New Cumberland, W.Va., the late Anna Shepherd, Betty Shanor of Washington, the late Harold and Loretta Shanor and the late Walter and Hazel Warco.
The bridegroom’s parents are Robert and Anna Battista of Wheeling, W.Va. His grandparents are Josephine Ammirante of Wheeling, W.Va., the late Jerry Ammirante and the late Columbus and Connie Battista.
Matron of honor was Melissa Neubauer of Bellaire, Ohio. Bridesmaids were Christina Maltony of Burgettstown, Carla Kalnicky of Canonsburg and Jenn Powell of Weirton, W.Va.
Flower girl was Jeana Battista, daughter of groom.
Best man was Kevin Higgins of North Canton, Ohio. Ushers were Richard Ginosky of Langloth, Jason Kalnicky of Canonsburg and Greg Neubauer of Bellaire, Ohio. Ring bearer was Cooper Kolb, nephew of groom.
A reception was held at Wheeling Artisan Center, River City banquet hall, Wheeling, W.Va.
The bride is a 1994 graduate of Burgettstown High School and a West Liberty University graduate, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in English education and a master’s degree in educational technology. She is employed by Brooke County W.Va. as technology integration specialist.
Her husband is a 1992 graduate of Bellaire High School; a graduate of West Liberty University graduate, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in education; and West Virginia University, where he earned a master’s degree in education. He is employed by Bellaire High School as a teacher and head basketball coach.
