Children’s School of Washington donation
The Washington County Community Foundation recently awarded a $1,000 discretionary grant to the Children’s School of Washington to purchase physical education equipment. The Children’s School of Washington is a nonprofit, independent, nonsectarian preschool that has been promoting educational, physical and emotional well-being to young students for more than 40 years. Discretionary grant-making funds at WCCF help provide the changing and unmet needs of the community. Elected through an open and competitive process, the grants support projects in all of the WCCF’s funding areas: arts and humanities, education, environment and animal welfare, health and fitness, human needs and religion and faith-based programs. The $1,000 discretionary grant for the Children’s School of Washington was made possible through pooled distributions from a number of the foundation’s discretionary funds.
