Burgettstown upends Avella

Burgettstown outscored rival Avella by 13 in the first quarter and 17 in the opening half en route to a 55-38 non-section win.

Jonathan Sabo finished with 16 points, including four 3-pointers, while Kurt Kowalski had 13. Paul Lecker and Josh Mack each contributed 10 for Burgettstown, which improved to 8-8 with its second consecutive win.

Brandon Miller scored a game-high 18 points for Avella, which fell to 2-11.

Perry 76, Washington 64: Shakeem Cox had 22 points as Perry handed Washington its second loss in as many nights with a 76-64 non-section victory.

Devin Lyles added 19 points, while Daron Clark had 12 for Perry, which led 62-45 entering the fourth quarter.

Josh Wise had 15 points, while Jaylin Kelly added 13, for the Prexies (11-4).

Mapletown 64, West Greene 30: Dereck Riggleman had 23 points to lead Mapletown to a 64-30 non-section win over West Greene.

Derek Atwood added 14 points and Dana White 11 for the Maples, who improved to 4-10.

Bray Jackson led West Greene (0-12) with nine points.
