Numerous people recently appeared in Washington County Court on criminal charges.


Appearing before Judge John DiSalle were:


Charles D. Gary, 56, of 1237 Bellvue Place, Pittsburgh; operating a vehicle without interlock; charged Aug. 6 following a traffic stop on Route 19 in North Strabane Township; sentence – Intermediate Punishment Program for 6 months with the first 3 months on electronic home monitoring, $300 fine.


James D. Foster, 21, of 452 Reed Ave., Monessen; theft; charged Sept. 24 for stealing a laptop from a room in Building E on the California University of Pennsylvania campus; sentence – 12 months of probation.


Leonard G. Curotz, 38, of 235 Emmy Lu Lane, Bridgeport, W.Va.; third-driving-under-the-influence offense; charged April 17 following a traffic stop on Washington Road in Peters Township, refusing blood-alcohol content testing; sentence – 60 days to 18 months in jail, $500 fine, drug and alcohol evaluation, driver’s license suspension.


Theodore A. Petrie, 56, of 140 Dixon Boulevard, Uniontown; third DUI offense; charged May 8, 2011, following a vehicle accident on Route 88 in Centerville, testing positive for drugs; sentence – Intermediate Punishment Program for 24 months with the first 12 months on electronic home monitoring, $500 fine, drug and alcohol evaluation and treatment, driver’s license suspension.


Jacob A. Skirpan, 31, of 1209 Laurel Hill Road, McDonald; criminal mischief; charged July 24 for damaging motorcycles outside the Pitt Hotel in McDonald; sentence – 23 months of probation with the first 3 months in jail followed by 3 months on electronic home monitoring.


Paul A. Palmer, 44, of 340 Center Ave., Oakdale; first DUI offense; charged May 13 following a traffic stop on Interstate 79 in South Strabane Township with a 0.246 percent BAC; sentence – 72 hours to 6 months in jail, $1,000 fine, drug and alcohol evaluation and treatment, driver’s license suspension.


Eric M. Yanov, 29, of 352 Johnson Road, Bentleyville; criminal trespass; charged Sept. 18, 2011, at 1327 Daniels Run Road, North Bethlehem Township; sentence – 23 months of probation with the first 90 days of intensive supervision.


Crystal Valperga, 27, of 460 Moon Road, Washington; possession of drug paraphernalia; charged June 4 following a traffic stop on Baird Avenue in Washington; sentence – 12 months of probation.


Michelle A. Powell, 39, of 425 Baird Ave., Washington; false reports; charged June 27 at 75 E. Maiden St., Washington; sentence – 12 months of probation.


Kenneth L. Davis, 23, of 456 Broad St., Washington; retail theft, theft; charged Feb. 1 for stealing a video camera from 2193 Jefferson Ave., Canton Township, and on Nov. 10 at Walmart in South Strabane Township; sentence – 30 months of probation with the first 3 months of intensive supervision.


James P. Mooney, 22, of 510 Highland Ave., Ellwood City; resisting arrest, disorderly conduct; charged July 12 at First Niagara Pavilion in Burgettstown; sentence – 12 months of probation, $100 fine.


Devin R. Reed, 22, of 507 Highland Ave., Canonsburg; first DUI offense, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia; charged May 22 for DUI on Nine Eighty Road, Canonsburg, testing positive for drugs, on June 9 for possessing drug paraphernalia at 140 O’Hare Road, Canonsburg, and July 9 outside John’s Trading Post in Canonsburg; sentence – 3 to 12 months in jail, $1,000 fine.


Raymond Snyder, 36, of 403 Harmony Church Road, Belle Vernon; possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia; charged Sept. 24 on Fallowfield Avenue in Charleroi; sentence – 12 months of probation.


Blair A. Russell, 42, of 121 Mount Lebanon Boulevard, Apt. 4, Pittsburgh; retail theft; charged March 19 at Walmart in South Strabane Township; sentence – 5 years of probation.


Kenneth W. Collins, 24, of 34 Circle Drive, Daisytown; access device fraud; charged for using another person’s bank cards without permission on three occasions in December; sentence – Intermediate Punishment Program for 23 months with the first 90 days on intensive supervision.
