Two injured in crash
Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 7:55 p.m. Wednesday on Route 188 near Valley Farm Drive, state police said.
Sharon Johnston, 58, of Morgantown, W.Va., and Laura Grim, 43, of Waynesburg, were both taken to hospitals for treatment. The names of the hospitals to which the women were taken were not reported by police.
Police said Grim, driving a 2002 Ford Ranger west, failed to negotiate a curve. Her vehicle crossed into the eastbound lane and crashed head on into Johnston’s 2009 Chevrolet Impala.
Waynesburg-Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Company was called to assist at the scene.
