Margaret R. Gromacki, 86, of Canonsburg, died Saturday, January 19, 2013, in Canonsburg General Hospital.
She was born May 24, 1926, in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late Stephen and Emma Karpy Toth.
Mrs. Gromacki was a homemaker.
She was a lifelong resident of Canonsburg, where she was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church and the former St. Genevieve Parish.
Mrs. Gromacki enjoyed spending time with her family and flower gardening.
On June 9, 1945, she married Edward L. Gromacki, who died August 18, 2000.
Surviving are three sons, Jerry Gromacki and wife Mary of Washington, Edward L. Gromacki Jr. and wife Judy of Midway and Dean Gromacki of Canonsburg; a daughter, Carol A. Elliot and husband George of Washington; a sister, Barbara Bodvake of New York; four grandchildren, George, Brian, Ed Jr. and Jennifer; three great-grandchildren, Anthony, Grace and Sophia; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her parents and her husband, are seven brothers, John, Frank, James, Steve, Edward, Robert and Albert Toth, and four sisters, Agnes Spinalla, Helen Micik, Katherine Novatny and Mary Brigich.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Sollon Funeral Home Ltd., 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, J. David Sollon, supervisor, Phillip L. Sollon, director, where departing prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 22, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick Church, Canonsburg.
