Brenda Muncie Kraus, 54, of Washington, died Friday, January 18, 2013, in UPMC-Presbyterian hospital, Pittsburgh, following a lengthy illness.
She was born September 6, 1958, in Washington, a daughter of Donald A. Muncie of Brownsville and Janet Shober Zink of Washington.
Mrs. Kraus was a graduate of Trinity High School and worked as a secretary at Continental Copper.
She enjoyed crafts, knitting, crocheting and reading.
Mrs. Kraus had attended Holy Rosary Church in Muse.
Surviving, in addition to her mother and father, are a son, Daniel Christopher Kraus of Tempe, Ariz.; two brothers, Donald Muncie and William (Tracy) Muncie, both of Washington; a sister, Sonja (Jim) Kowcheck of Washington; stepmother Harriet Muncie of Brownsville; stepfather Larry Zink of Washington; three stepsisters, Shelly Zink of Washington, Cynthia Durham of Summerville, S.C., and Julie (Alvaro) Castellanos of Pittsburgh; and several nieces and nephews, Kevin, Jerrica, Janice, Jillian, Zachary, Colette, Maleia, Carley, Janelle, Austin and Mallorie.
A blessing service will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, January 23, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Father Thomas O’Neil officiating.
