Longtime Canonsburg Shop ’n Save butcher

Randall Charles Hudgkin, 66, of Washington, formerly of Hunker and Canonsburg, died Friday, January 25, 2013, in his home.

He was born December 2, 1946, in Hunker, Westmoreland County, a son of the late John Ellis and Beatrice Leah Hudgkin.

Mr. Hudgkin worked as a butcher at Canonsburg Shop ’n Save for more than 35 years.

He was a member of Anawanna Hunting and Fishing Club and Canonsburg Sportsmen’s Club.

Surviving are three daughters, Wendy Sue Knopp, Sheri Hudgkin and Patricia Hudgkin Wisner, all of Washington; a brother, Keith Hudgkin (Diane) of the Hunker-Armburst area; a sister, Cathy Sweinsburg (Dennis) of Connecticut; and six grandchildren, Derrick and Nathaniel Knopp, Brandon Oest, Isabella Hudgkin, Cody Hudgkin and Chad Wisner.

Deceased is his wife, Carol Lee Hudgkin, who died August 17, 2009.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., the time of service, Sunday, January 27, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Pastor Joe DiDonato Sr. officiating. Inurnment in Washington Cemetery will be held at a later date.
