BUTLER (AP) – State police say a Western Pennsylvania man and woman are dead in an apparent murder-suicide.

Troopers in Butler County went to the Center Township home about 1:40 a.m. Saturday in response to reports of a shooting.

Police said they found the body of 45-year-old Sonja Kummer lying on the ground outside the home with apparent gunshot wounds.

Troopers entered and found the body of 49-year-old Dean Vaughn Clawson. Police said he had sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Police said both individuals were pronounced dead at the home.
