William H. Hamilton Jr.

U.S. Army veteran of the Korean conflict

William H. Hamilton Jr., 81, born August 25, 1931, passed away peacefully to be with the Lord Saturday, January 26, 2013.

Originally from Library, he lived in Baden, near his son, William Hamilton and family, for the last eight years.

He was the beloved husband of the late Marie Nodd Hamilton; father of William “Bill” Hamilton (Angel), Cindy Maloney, Diane Hamilton and the late Mark; and brother of Johnny and Larry Hamilton. He also leaves nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mr. Hamilton served with the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict.

For the past four months, he resided in Elderberry Court and living assistance facility in Ambridge. He made many friends in his short stay, during which time he obtained the nickname “Wild Bill” and was known to be very helpful and kind to other residents. The staff members and residents in Elderberry Court were kind and caring.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in David J. Henney Funeral Home, 6364 Library Road (Route 88), Library, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 30. Contributions may be made to Elderberry Court, 1399 Merchant Street, Ambridge, PA 15003.
