Theresa A. Leach Crookham
New Eagle homemaker helped at VFD bingo
Theresa A. Leach Crookham, 87, of New Eagle, died Friday, January 25, 2013, in Southwestern Nursing Center, Pleasant Hills.
She was born December 5, 1925, in New Eagle, a daughter of the late Edward D. and Marie Reder Leach.
Mrs. Crookham was a homemaker.
She was a 1944 graduate of Monongahela High School and a member of St. Damien of Molokai Parish, Transfiguration Church, in Monongahela. She also helped run the kitchen for bingo in New Eagle Volunteer Fire Department.
Surviving are a son, Thomas M. Crookham of New Eagle; a daughter and son-in-law, Vicki A. and Gene Seighman of Monongahela; seven grandchildren, Christine (Matthew) Rantz, Brandon Carroll (fiancée Samantha Milton), Brooke Carroll, Shelby and Cole Crookham and Jade and Christie Seighman; and a daughter-in-law, Diana Crookham of Richland, Mich.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Norman G. Crookham, who died March 22, 2004; a son, Robert E. Crookham, who died in 2009; four brothers, Thomas, Edward, George and Kenneth Leach; a stepbrother, Charles Voight; three sisters, Margaret Leach, Genevieve Loutitt and Mildred Mountain; and a stepsister, Marie Voight.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Marshall Marra Funeral Home, 216 Chess Street, Monongahela, 724-258-6767, marshallmarrafuneralhome.com. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon Wednesday, January 30, in St. Damien of Molokai Parish, Transfiguration Church, with Father William Terza as celebrant. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Carroll Township.
