Monongahela police are investigating two recent thefts at the Mon Valley Laundromat, 200 Fifth St.

Police Chief Brian Tempest said a few vending machines were entered Monday morning. The only things stolen appear to be some snacks.

On Jan. 23, several vending machines were broken open and a small amount of cash was stolen in the business that is open 24 hours, Tempest said.

Two people wearing dark, hooded shirts and sweat pants can be seen on surveillance video. They enter about 2:50 a.m. and leave at 3:08 a.m. after setting off an alarm.

State police forensic services processed the business. The video also will be reviewed. Tempest said money is removed from the machines each night.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-258-5511.
