Scout Sunday will be recognized Sunday at Clarksville Christian Church, 330 Market St. Special music, readings and acknowledgement of all current and former scouts and their families will be a part of the service. The 10:30 a.m. service will be led by Cub Scout Chase Harrison, and Pastor Brad Edgar will devote his message to Scouting and their families. All members of the community are welcome. Scouts and leaders are encouraged to wear their uniforms. The Clarksville Christian Church youth group will meet in the social hall following the Scout Sunday service to complete its Valentine projects for shut-ins and nursing home residents. Snacks and beverages will be provided for the children. Donations of Valentines and candy are welcome. For more information, call Sandy Silbaugh at 724-377-1466.

Thomas Hughes House Reading Center in Jefferson, in partnership with Community Action Southwest, will be a host site for free tax preparation. Anyone who made less than $50,000 last year is eligible to have his returns done free. Appointments are being accepted for Feb. 19 and March 26 and can be made by calling 1-877-814-0788, extension 421.
