Bartholomew Bernard Piccardo
Korean War vet talented at billiards, ballroom dancing
Bartholomew Bernard Piccardo, 75, passed away peacefully, Saturday, February 9, 2013. A resident of Washington, he also resided in Ormond Beach, Fla., after retirement.
He was born November 28, 1937, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Regis and Margaret Piccardo.
Mr. Piccardo married the love of his life September 24, 1960, the late Patricia Piccardo.
He is survived by two loving daughters, Lisa and son-in-law Dwayne Coneeny of East Dover, Vt., and Robin and son-in-law Ted Grimm of Washington; his adored grandsons, Shawn Patrick Grimm and Tyler Shane Grimm, both of Washington; and a sister, Louella Barno of Elizabeth.
Mr. Piccardo also leaves behind his granddogs, Sierra, Bandit, Roxy and Waylynn; and several nieces and nephews.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines and served during the Korean War.
Mr. Piccardo loved to hunt and fish and was a talented billiard player and ballroom dancer. Most of all, he cherished spending time with his grandsons, Shawn and Tyler.
He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Relatives and friends are welcome to gather for visitation from 9:30 to 10 a.m., the time of services, Friday, March 29, in Cremation & Funeral Care by Danielle Andy Belusko, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, 724 260-5546. A funeral procession will follow to National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township, where a graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. with full military honors.
