Marianna resident enjoyed bowling

Opal M. Williams, 77, of Marianna, died Friday, February 15, 2013, in Donnell House, Washington.

She was born February 18, 1935, in Beallsville, a daughter of Sheldon and Stella Swihart Matthews.

Mrs. Williams was a 1953 graduate of Ellsworth high school.

She enjoyed bowling, watching “Wheel of Fortune,” “Jeopardy” and soap operas as well as watching Steelers games.

On July 3, 1953, she married Franklin Delano Williams, who died March 13, 2012.

Surviving are five children, LouAnn (Mark) Keister of Washington, Gary (Amy) Williams of Chatman, Kan., Jerry Williams of Marianna, Helen (Keith) Baker of Washington and Robert Williams of Marianna; seven grandchildren, April Williams, Ashley Williams, Caleb Keister, Shane Williams, Kaylyn Baker, Amanda Keister and Reese Baker; a sister, Sarah Jane Fremont Watkins of Washington; a brother-in-law, Paul Addis of Canonsburg; as well as nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to her husband and parents, are three sisters, Clara (Frank) Bane, Mildred Addis and Fern Matthews.

Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Nichol Funeral Home, 1873 East Maiden Street, Washington, where a funeral will be held at noon Monday, February 18, with Pastor Gary Gibson officiating.
